I’ve been going to Pop Physique for four years now, and it’s still just as good. This was one of the OG barre classes, and although it may not be as trendy or exclusive as some of the other boutique fitness studios popping up, it’s always a good workout. The barre thighs section still burns aggressively, even though I am way more fit today than I was four years ago. In addition, there are so many Pop Physiques around LA that you can always find one in a convenient location.
I like Pop Physique more than Bar Method and Pure Barre because I think the atmosphere is more fun and vibrant. The crowd skews on the younger side and IMO, they generally play better music than the other barre classes. I also like that it’s hard word floors instead of carpet, which is easier to workout on and more cleanly. This is my go-to workout when I don’t plan extensively in advance to take a class. You can almost always find a spot. Ali F is one of my fave instructors in Brentwood, she’s amazing and gives everyone so much personalized attention!
